Lightspeed Commerce is an award-winning craft distillery located in Richland, WA. With sustainability as their guiding principle, they produce a range of high-quality spirits that are thoughtfully crafted with locally sourced ingredients from the Pacific Northwest. What sets Solar Spirits apart is their commitment to harnessing the power of the sun.
Their mash process is powered by solar tubes, infusing each bottle with the energy of the sun. Their goal is to become a fully solar-powered distillery, and while they work towards that, they have implemented a solar thermal system and offset their purchased electricity with Green-e Energy Certified Renewable Energy Credits. Led by Master Distiller Jim Batdorf, a chemical engineer, and Production Manager Dan Watt, the Solar Spirits team is dedicated to creating best-in-class craft vodkas, gins, brandies, and whiskies.
