Solco Libertas

Solco Libertas is a social cooperative based in the Bologna area, active since 1982. It works to respond to changing community needs by supporting children, young people, adults with disabilities, and people experiencing social hardship. Its services combine educational, social-care, rehabilitative, and inclusion-focused support, tailored to individuals and families.

For minors, the cooperative provides school integration, after-school activities, summer programs, anti-dropout initiatives, protected meetings, family support, and specialist services related to autism and specific learning disorders. For people with disabilities, it offers home-based socio-educational assistance, family support, independent-living pathways, leisure activities, sports, and summer stays. The organization also provides immigrant reception, Italian-language literacy, and mediation.

Solco Libertas develops practical projects that build skills and social participation. These include Case San Martino, supported residential apartments for people with neurodevelopmental disorders; the Filalalana social farm, where participants work with alpaca wool; and workshops in bookbinding, cooking, literacy, and computing. Its N.O.I. space and Campana workshops help young people with disabilities strengthen abilities and prepare for greater independence and possible employment.
