The story of Sole Hope began in 2009 when Asher Cooley stumbled upon a heart-wrenching video highlighting the devastating impact of jiggers on children in Uganda. Motivated to make a difference, Asher's solution was as simple as providing closed-toe shoes to protect vulnerable children. With this vision, she created a sewing pattern for basic shoes, laying the foundation for Sole Hope.

Over the years, Sole Hope has expanded its mission and now empowers men and women in Uganda by teaching them the art and skill of shoemaking. Skilled artisans produce shoes using recycled denim jeans, elastic bands, and discarded tires. The brand also encourages global collaboration through Shoe Parties, where volunteers donate jeans and cut out shoe patterns to be sent to Uganda.
