Sol Fencing Academy

Sol Fencing Academy is a competitive saber fencing club in Escondido, serving children, youth, and adults across San Diego County. The academy aims to provide a professional, safe, and welcoming environment where students can develop their fencing skills and grow in confidence, discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. Its community emphasizes integrity, commitment, perseverance, and personal growth alongside athletic achievement.

Programs accommodate a range of ages and experience levels. Young Fencers classes introduce children ages four to six to the sport, while introductory classes welcome beginners and provide loaner equipment for the first month. Beginner classes focus on foundational skills, teamwork, and positive habits. Adult classes are open to all levels, and competitive training develops the technical and tactical abilities needed for regional and national competition. An invitation-only Elite program supports high-level athletes pursuing national or international results. Group classes, open bouting, private lessons, events, and memberships are also available.

Founder and head coach Aaron Villaseñor brings national and international fencing experience, and coach Adrian Villaseñor has competed on Mexico’s Cadet and Junior National Teams. The academy is located at North County Mall in Escondido, California.
