About Solidarity Uganda
Solidarity Uganda is a progressive organization dedicated to empowering the oppressed through skills in strategic nonviolence and movement building. Our team of activists, community organizers, and political education trainers work tirelessly to support poor and marginalized communities in Africa and beyond. At the heart of our work is the Wii Otem Center for Civil Resistance and Alternatives, the only training facility in East Africa specifically focused on civil resistance.
Through training, coaching, and capacity-building, we assist grassroots campaigns and movements in achieving their goals and creating lasting change. We utilize innovative pedagogical methods, such as discussion-based education and interactive approaches, to empower vulnerable communities. Our ultimate vision is a liberated Africa where individuals harness their power for social and political transformation.
