Solitary Angler

The Solitary Angler is a Taos, New Mexico fly-fishing guide service and fishing club focused on offering quality fishing experiences without the crowds. It guides anglers across a range of waters in northern New Mexico, southern Colorado, and southwest Wyoming, including the Rio Grande, Culebra Creek, Cimarron Creek, the Green River, and other rivers and streams. Trips introduce visitors to varied settings, from mountain lakes and canyon rivers to private creeks and tailwaters, with opportunities to pursue trout throughout the year.

The company also offers annual Solitary Angling Club memberships. Members and their guests can reserve access to leased private fisheries without a guide, subject to some exceptions; each reserved section is exclusive to the party. Anglers can consult the site for guided-trip prices, fishing reports, hatch information, and details about accommodations near fishing locations. Additional resources include a fly-fishing blog, fishing stories, a book, and information about the club. The Solitary Angler serves both avid anglers seeking remote waters and visitors looking for knowledgeable local guides.
