Solstar Space develops connectivity solutions designed for the demanding conditions of space. The company’s offerings include WiFi Access Points that connect WiFi-enabled devices for crew communications, payload integration and experiments, as well as Space Communicators engineered for integration into small satellites, space stations, launch vehicles and other on-orbit assets. Solstar also provides Persistent Space Communications Services, offering narrowband and broadband data and voice services for space missions and operations.

Solstar hardware is integrated into spacecraft before launch and activated for use in space. Its solutions are designed for missions in low Earth orbit, cislunar space and lunar environments, with options tailored to operational requirements, including radiation hardening. The company reports that proof-of-concept flight units have flown on several spaceflights. Demonstrations include communications during Blue Origin flights and an internet connection between a spacecraft and a commercial satellite constellation.
