Solstice Montessori is a parent-founded, locally rooted preschool in Franklin, Massachusetts, serving children ages 2. 9 to 6. Grounded in Montessori principles, the school provides a calm, thoughtfully run environment where children are known and respected, and can learn at their own pace.

Its approach focuses on fostering independence, confidence, respect, and a lasting love of learning. Experienced Montessori educators lead intentionally small classrooms, with a student-teacher ratio of 9:1 and no more than nine students in the largest classroom. Solstice extends learning beyond the classroom through meaningful community connections.

Children visit the Franklin Public Library, spend time with older adults at the Senior Center, and explore food and seasonal changes during weekly fall walks to the local farmers market. Partnerships with local colleges also bring future educators into the school community. The school offers preschool programs, curriculum information, admissions and tuition resources, and before- and aftercare options.
