Soluman-OdV

Solidarietà Umanitaria O.d.V., formerly known as SOLUMAN, is a volunteer-led nonprofit association based in Catania, Italy. It promotes community wellbeing through health prevention, education, training and solidarity initiatives, and is part of the Municipality of Catania’s network of associations.

Its activities include health screenings such as bone mineral density testing (MOC), spirometry and cardiovascular checks using ECG and ABI assessments. The association also organizes courses for family caregivers and training in first aid, resuscitation and basic life support, including BLSD. Its projects have addressed caregiver support, health and nutrition, and guidance on the use of medicines.

Alongside these services, Solidarietà Umanitaria shares accessible information about medical topics and prevention through articles and educational content. It also promotes therapeutic excursions and community activities, combining outdoor experiences with opportunities to support wellbeing and social connection. Through its screenings, courses, projects and public information, the association works to make prevention and practical health knowledge more accessible while encouraging participation and mutual support in the local community.
