About Somaliland Banking
Somaliland Banking Association (SLBA) is a reputable and professional banking industry association aimed at promoting and strengthening the commercial banking sector in Somaliland. Registered in 2021, SLBA serves the interests of member banks, consumers, and the public. Their main objective is to standardize the banking system across all banks in Somaliland, creating financial awareness for the public and ensuring the protection of personal data.
SLBA currently has four member banks: Dahabshil Bank International, Dara Salaam Bank, Premier Bank, and Amal Bank. As the umbrella body for these institutions, SLBA works closely with the Bank of Somaliland (BSL) to support Somalis and stimulate economic growth. With a vision to nurture and transform the banking and financial industry, SLBA collaborates with regulatory bodies to maintain compliance standards and develop good banking practices.
