Som Budokan

SOM Budokan is a volunteer-led martial arts and combat sports club based in Maubourguet, in the Hautes-Pyrénées region of France. The club welcomes beginners and experienced practitioners, with training built around confidence, respect, conviviality and personal development. Its activities include karate, Sambo and Sambo Training, while its current programme highlights Karate Contact and Krav Maga for both children and adults.

Adult Krav Maga sessions are open to women and men, and the club also offers children’s classes. Training is led by committed instructors, including technical director Mohamed Moussaoui, and combines practical instruction with opportunities to build fitness, discipline and self-confidence. Newcomers can try a first class free, with equipment available to borrow for initial sessions; registration is offered at training sessions and association events.

SOM Budokan also supports members who wish to compete, and its athletes have earned medals at national events. Alongside regular classes, the club organises workshops and demonstrations, creating opportunities to learn, share experience and take part in the local community
