Something Going Round is a community reporting website that helps people see which minor illnesses are being reported in their local area. Visitors can check an interactive map of UK reports or submit an anonymous report using the first part of their postcode and a description of the problem. Available categories include colds, flu-like illness, COVID, chest infections, sore throats, ear problems, stomach bugs, hay fever and allergies, rashes, and eye problems, with options for uncertain or other symptoms.

Contributors can add symptoms, indicate when the illness started and its severity, report COVID test status, and say how many people are affected. Reports are grouped by postcode district to show general local patterns rather than precise locations, and remain visible for seven days. The site provides a live map, a latest-reports feed, and summaries of reported problems and symptoms when data is available.

Reports are self-submitted and not independently verified, so the information is intended to help people understand local trends, not provide medical advice or diagnose illness
