Somnia is a blockchain network building an “Agentic L1,” a high-performance Layer 1 designed for AI agents and real-time decentralized applications. Its multi-stream consensus is presented as enabling high throughput and low latency on an EVM-compatible chain, while its IceDB database is designed to support predictable gas pricing and sub-cent fees.
