Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO) is a statewide organization that has served individuals with intellectual disabilities for more than 50 years. Through sports and community partnerships, it helps thousands of Missouri athletes develop strengths, abilities, and skills, and experience success. People can take part as athletes, Unified partners, coaches, or volunteers, while supporters can donate, fundraise, sponsor, or contribute through planned giving.

SOMO offers a wide range of sports, competitions, community events, and fundraisers. Its programs and resources include Unified Champion Schools, athlete leadership, health and wellness, Training for Life Campus activities, sports camps, Young Athletes, and at-home programming. Coaches and families can also access guidance, training videos, forms, and other resources. The organization serves communities across Central Missouri, the Kansas City metro area, the North, Southeast, and Southwest areas, and the St. Louis metro area. SOMO shares event calendars, news updates, newsletters, and an annual report, and recognizes the coaches and partners who help strengthen its programs and support athletes across the state.
