About SomoS Berlin
SomoS Berlin is a non-commercial artist-run art space that offers a vibrant and diverse range of exhibitions, cultural events, and opportunities for artists. Founded in 2012, SomoS aims to create an international open framework for innovative arts, curatorial projects, education, and creative cooperation. Located in the heart of Berlin, the space consists of an exhibition space and an international Artist-in-Residence program.
Situated in a historic building that has been repurposed as an art hub, SomoS continues the legacy of the former art space Kunstraum Richard Sorge. With a focus on intergenerational community and interdisciplinary projects, SomoS provides emerging and mid-career artists with space, resources, and knowledge for the production, presentation, and reflection of their work. The engaging schedule of exhibitions, performances, seminars, and artist talks is free to the public, fostering interest, discussion, cooperation, and understanding.
