Somos Todos Uruguayos is a civic initiative dedicated to advocating for the equal recognition of all legal citizens as nationals under international law. The organization champions fundamental human rights, including nationality, identity, and child protection, striving to construct a more inclusive Uruguay. Its mission focuses on addressing the discriminatory interpretation of nationality laws that divides citizens into unequal classes, resulting in significant issues such as statelessness among children and inadequate passports for legal citizens that do not comply with international standards.
The organization engages in various activities, including legislative proposals, research materials, and public awareness campaigns through social media platforms. These efforts aim to enlighten citizens and political representatives about the importance of upholding the constitutional rights of all Uruguayans, reinforcing Uruguay's commitment to international agreements that promote equality and non-discrimination. By joining Somos Todos Uruguayos, individuals can contribute to restoring historical foundations of citizenship and advocating for equal rights for all residents of Uruguay.
