About SONA
SONA (Society of Neuroscientists of Africa) is a non-profit organization that serves as the umbrella organization for regional and national neuroscience societies and groups in Africa. Established in 1993 and headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, SONA functions to promote research, teaching, and advocacy in the field of neuroscience throughout the continent. As a member society of the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), SONA aims to advance knowledge and collaboration in neuroscience in Africa.
One of the key activities of SONA is organizing an International Conference every two years, bringing together experts, researchers, and professionals in the field of neuroscience.
