Sonett-Forum is an online community devoted to the art of the sonnet and the practice of poetic translation. Active since 2007, it brings together poetry enthusiasts, readers of classical verse, and curious newcomers for conversation, feedback, and shared exploration. Members discuss the craft and meaning of poems, including metre, imagery, form, and interpretation, and can offer one another advice and encouragement.

The forum welcomes a wide range of work, from sonnets by Petrarch, Shakespeare, and Rilke to members’ own writing and translation attempts. Its purpose is to make poetry a dialogue: participants can exchange perspectives, refine their verses, and consider how translation connects languages and readers. Visitors can browse the forum, while registration is required to write posts.

The site also provides community features such as member profiles, search, a calendar, forum statistics, and RSS synchronization. With an informal, welcoming style of address, Sonett-Forum offers a dedicated space for thoughtful discussion, creative development, and connection among people who share an interest in the sonnet
