Sonnen Australia is a global leader in home battery storage solutions, dedicated to providing clean, reliable, and affordable energy for all. With a worldwide community sharing this goal, Sonnen is committed to empowering your clean energy future. Founded in 2010 in Southern Germany, Sonnen's founders, Christoph Ostermann and Torsten Stiefenhofer, developed the first sonnenBatterie.
They revolutionized the energy industry by creating a system that enables households to store and consume their self-generated energy day and night, rather than feeding it back into the grid. Today, Sonnen is a renowned brand with offices in Germany, Italy, Great Britain, the United States, and Australia. Their product range includes sophisticated energy storage solutions, custom-built to meet the specific needs of each market.
Combining German engineering with local ingenuity, Sonnen's products are manufactured in facilities in Australia, the USA, and Germany, and are shipped globally. Sonnen's innovative approach has transformed the energy landscape, allowing individuals to become active participants in the energy system. By joining the sonnenCommunity, users not only benefit from clean and affordable energy solutions but also contribute to the increased use of renewable energy sources.
As part of Shell Renewables and Energy Solutions since 2019, Sonnen continues to drive the clean energy future in collaboration with strong and competent partners.
