Son of a Gun Bait Shop is a locally owned fishing tackle and bait store in Grand Island, Nebraska. Founded by Nate Newberry, an experienced angler and hunter with more than 30 years of knowledge in the Kearney and Grand Island area, the shop aims to help customers enjoy fishing with affordable gear and helpful, personal service. Its selection includes fishing tackle, locally made and custom-painted lures, and lures, jigs, and rigs made in the United States, including veteran-made products.
The shop also offers live and frozen bait, with options such as wax worms, minnows, nightcrawlers, leeches, bluegill, goldfish, chubs, shrimp, crawfish, skipjack, and shad.
