About Sorok Uni
Sorok Uni Foundation Inc. is a non-government organization dedicated to serving and uplifting various marginalized groups in the Philippines. They work tirelessly to support Persons Affected with Leprosy, Homeless and Displaced Families, Underprivileged Children, and Disadvantaged Indigenous People. Through their core programs of Relief, Rehabilitation, Empowerment, and Sustainability, they address the specific needs of these beneficiaries, taking a holistic approach that considers their well-being within their environment.
The foundation's mission is to emancipate forgotten neighbors in the Philippines, helping them overcome social stigma and poverty through empowerment and the establishment of sustainable communities. Their vision is to create a Philippines where no one is left behind.
Sorok Uni Foundation was founded by Capt. Jae J. Jang, a compassionate businessman and former ship captain who was deeply moved by the plight of leprosy-affected Filipinos. Inspired by his encounters and guided by the belief in making a lasting impact, he established the foundation on May 7, 2002.
Through their dedicated efforts and commitment, Sorok Uni Foundation is actively working towards achieving their noble goal of ensuring "A PHILIPPINES WITHOUT FORGOTTEN NEIGHBORS".
