Soros Foundation Moldova is a part of the Open Society Foundations network, established by philanthropist and investor George Soros. Their goal is to make Moldova a better place to live by focusing on three main areas: Democracy and Rule of Law, Social and Economic Resilience, and Support for European Integration. The foundation works towards achieving these goals by supporting various programs and organizations in Moldova.

One of their recent initiatives includes improving social services in multiple locations across the country. Through financial support from the European Union and Soros Foundation Moldova, four organizations providing social services have been equipped with new transportation means. This will enable Mobile Teams in Cimișlia, Chișinău, and Edineț, as well as the Youth (Re)integration Center in Ialoveni, to better deliver their services.

Soros Foundation Moldova also supports programs that promote the inclusion of refugees from Ukraine and the protection of human rights. They continue to collaborate with organizations working to safeguard the rights of those affected by Russia's aggression against Ukraine. Overall, Soros Foundation Moldova aims to create positive change in Moldova and contribute to the development of a more open and democratic society
