Sorriso – Associação dos Amigos do Ninho dos Pequenitos is a Portuguese association dedicated to the protection and care of children. Its work is rooted in the Ninho dos Pequenitos, an initiative established in the 1930s by Professor Bissaya Barreto. Originally, the institution provided care for children at risk of tuberculosis infection from their mothers, and its first premises stood where the Coimbra Academic Association building is now located.

Today, Sorriso continues this child-protection legacy through its social services, projects and activities. The association shares information about its institutional history, mission, values and work, and provides ways for the public to offer support. Its community engagement includes solidarity initiatives, such as a fundraising run organised in support of the association with the NEM-AAC.

Sorriso also communicates news and opportunities to participate through its website. Based at Maternidade Bissaya Barreto in Coimbra, the organisation invites individuals and community partners to learn about its services and contribute to its efforts to provide children with a caring, protective environment
