About Social Science Baha
Social Science Baha is an independent, non-profit organization founded in 2002 with the aim of advancing the study and research of social sciences in Nepal. They began by establishing a groundbreaking social science library, which remains the only one of its kind in the country and boasts an impressive collection of over 35,000 publications, including books, reports, journals, and more. The library also provides access to various online journals through renowned platforms.
Over the years, Social Science Baha has expanded its activities to include lectures, conferences, workshops, and research projects in collaboration with academic and research institutions. They also publish books, reports, and policy briefs on various social science topics. In addition, Social Science Baha houses the Centre for the Study of Labour and Mobility (CESLAM), which conducts research and offers advisory and policy support on labor and migration issues.
