SOS del Seprio

SOS del Seprio is a volunteer, nonprofit public assistance association serving Carnago and nearby communities in the Province of Varese, Italy. Its work is dedicated to social solidarity and includes emergency response, patient transport, event medical support, and public education. In partnership with AREU, the association provides emergency services under a daytime H12 agreement throughout the week, with staff and volunteers helping maintain round-the-clock coverage. Emergency assistance is accessed through Italy’s single emergency number, 112.

For non-urgent needs, SOS del Seprio offers booked patient transfers, including journeys from hospitals to rehabilitation or residential care, as well as transport for discharge, appointments, and specialist examinations. Certified volunteer crews also provide medical support at sporting events, concerts, parades, and other gatherings. The association runs community courses led by qualified instructors, covering resuscitation, choking response, and training for the use of defibrillators. People can support its activities through donations, membership, or volunteering, including opportunities connected with civil service programs.
