About SOSS Santé Orale et Soins Spécifiques
Santé orale et Soins Spécifiques (SOSS) is an association dedicated to improving access to oral healthcare for individuals with disabilities in France. SOSS works to support and bring together associations of people with disabilities, dental professionals, and healthcare organizations. The association caters to individuals with disabilities or those experiencing dependence or loss of autonomy, as well as dentists, dental assistants, healthcare professionals, and professionals in the medico-social sector. SOSS oversees regional access networks for oral healthcare known as Handident.
The main objectives of SOSS are to unite and represent stakeholders, disseminate information, promote education and training, and facilitate the sharing of experiences and knowledge. The association engages in advocacy and presents recommendations to government authorities to improve oral health for individuals with specific needs. SOSS also emphasizes research, training, and knowledge dissemination in the field of specific care.
