Sosteam

Sosteam is a child placement and care provider based in Mäntyharju, Finland, offering residential care in a peaceful natural setting. Care is provided at Niemelä, a seven-place residential unit on a spacious, secluded estate of more than 20 hectares, and at Perhekoti Mänty, a five-place family home beside a lake.

The estate offers a range of spaces and activities, including a swimming beach, gym, music room, smoke sauna, grill shelter and opportunities to explore the surrounding forest. Mänty also has facilities for hobbies and outdoor activities, and visits from relatives and friends can be accommodated. Sosteam works with the municipality of Mäntyharju to support children’s education. Pupils attend local schools, with options including small-group or mainstream teaching; transport is provided, and temporary learning arrangements can be made when needed. The organisation’s services focus on supporting children’s everyday life, care and schooling in a calm, supportive setting.
