Sotra SK

Sotra Sportsklubb is a Norwegian community sports club founded on 7 June 1945 under the name IL Øygard. Football was its original and only sport, played at Nygård in Laksevåg. Today, the club offers activities for children, young people and adults, with a welcoming environment focused on participation, safety and enjoyment. Its sports include football, handball, gymnastics and dance, basketball, boxing, floorball and athletics. The club also runs an introductory sports school where children can try several activities, alongside training sessions, holiday camps, tournaments and events for different ages and experience levels.

Facilities and related services include Straume Idrettspark, Sotra Arena and a modern indoor football hall with artificial turf. The organization also promotes Sotra Sportssenter, which offers gym training and membership campaigns. Families can find information about teams, age groups, registration and membership through the club, while volunteers and local partners help support its activities. Sotra Sportsklubb brings sport, recreation and community participation together through a broad programme designed to make activity accessible to all.
