About Soundwalk Collective
Soundwalk Collective is a contemporary sonic arts platform founded by Stephan Crasneanscki and Simone Merli. Collaborating with a rotating constellation of artists and musicians, they create site- and context-specific sound projects that explore conceptual, literary, and artistic themes. Through long-term partnerships with notable figures such as Patti Smith, Jean-Luc Goddard, Nan Goldin, Sasha Waltz, and Charlotte Gainsbourg, Soundwalk Collective has evolved into a multi-disciplinary practice that spans art installations, dance, music, and film.
Their unique artistic approach treats sound as a tactile and poetic material, allowing them to craft layered narratives that explore memory, time, love, and loss. Recently, their original score for 'All The Beauty and the Bloodshed' earned them the Golden Lion at the 2022 Venice Film Festival. They also launched a captivating exhibition called 'Evidence' with Patti Smith at Centre Pompidou in Paris, weaving an audio-visual journey inspired by the works of French poets Arthur Rimbaud, Antonin Artaud, and RenΓ© Daumal.
Soundwalk Collective has exhibited and performed at prestigious arts and music institutions worldwide, including Centre Pompidou, Louvre Abu Dhabi, and New Museum
