Southampton Mencap is a local organisation that supports children, young people and adults with learning disabilities, as well as their families and carers across Southampton. For more than 70 years, it has worked to provide practical support, inclusive opportunities and information to help people live full and rewarding lives. Its services include family support, children’s activities, youth and adult services, leisure and social activities, advice and information, and support for carers.
The organisation also welcomes people who want to contribute through volunteering, becoming a trustee, fundraising or making a donation. Southampton Mencap says its services continue to run as normal while a new website is being developed. People can contact the team to ask about services, seek support or learn how to get involved.
