Southbound Safaris Limited is a family-run hunting and nature photography outfitter based near Darfield in Canterbury, New Zealand. Founded by Morgan and Ella, the company shares their passion for the outdoors through guided hunts across the country’s southern landscapes. Outfitter guides Morgan Heselwood and Keith Heselwood lead fair-chase experiences, while photographer Ella Reeves captures wildlife and memorable moments from each adventure.

The company offers individual hunts for New Zealand red stag, Himalayan bull tahr, chamois, fallow buck and Arapawa ram, as well as multi-species packages featuring combinations such as tahr and chamois, stag and tahr, or wapiti, tahr and chamois. Listed hunt prices include guide and trophy fees, transport, meals and accommodation; package deals generally cover four nights, with additional days and helicopter hire available at extra cost. Turkey and wallaby hunts may be included at no charge for the first three bookings for the 2027 season. Southbound Safaris also arranges airport transfers and discusses accommodation options with guests before arrival. Firearms and ammunition can be provided.
