About SouthBridge Emergency Medical Service
SouthBridge EMS is a non-profit, private organization that has been providing compassionate, professional, and life-saving emergency medical care since its establishment in 1971. Originally known as South Hills Ambulance & Rescue System, they started as a volunteer-based service, serving Bridgeville Borough and South Fayette Township in the South Hills area of Allegheny County, PA. Over the years, they have evolved into a paid team of highly trained pre-hospital providers, officially becoming SouthBridge EMS in 1992.
Today, SouthBridge EMS operates two stations strategically located in Cecil Township and South Fayette Township, covering a combined area of 48 square miles. They also extend their services to neighboring communities when requested. In addition to emergency medical services, SouthBridge offers medical standby coverage for special events, community education programs, station and ambulance tours, as well as school and daycare educational visits.
With a dedicated team of experienced professionals and oversight from a Board of Directors, SouthBridge EMS is committed to delivering exceptional care to the communities they serve. Contact them through phone or email to schedule a standby or class, or simply to learn more about the vital services they provide
