South Country Fair is a community-rooted music and arts festival held annually since 1987 in Fort Macleod, Alberta. Set along the banks of the Oldman River at the Fort Macleod Fish and Game Park, the festival offers a relaxed, camping-style weekend for families and music fans. Its eclectic program brings regional and international performers to multiple stages, with music and arts spanning traditional folk, roots, gritty blues, alt-country, spoken word poetry, and world rhythms.
The event also celebrates the artists, volunteers, crew, and fairgoers whose involvement helps shape its welcoming community atmosphere. South Country Fair provides information and access to festival tickets and camping, and invites people to get involved as volunteers, artists, or vendors. Alongside the annual gathering, the festival has offered a one-of-a-kind quilt made from Fair T-shirts as a ticketed prize opportunity.
The next South Country Fair is scheduled for July 16–18, 2027, continuing a longstanding tradition of music, art, and shared summer experiences
