Southern Children’s Physiotherapy provides specialist paediatric neurological and developmental physiotherapy in Bournemouth and across Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Surrey. Led by Charlotte, the service offers more than 20 years of experience supporting children and their families, including children from birth to 19 years. Charlotte is Bobath and advanced MAES trained.

The practice assesses and treats children with a wide range of needs, including cerebral palsy, neuromuscular and genetic conditions, developmental delay, hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy, Down syndrome and posterior fossa syndrome. It also offers early assessment and guidance for premature babies and infants, helping families understand their child’s movement and development.

Care is personalised, with initial discussions and assessments informing clear goals and tailored treatment plans. Sessions can take place at home or in a child’s usual setting, with advice for families and wider care teams to support progress between visits. Southern Children’s Physiotherapy also provides EHCP-related physiotherapy, tribunal and review support, and independent expert witness reports for SEND cases, working with families, schools, solicitors and case managers.
