Southern Illinois Dermatology is a physician-owned practice serving rural Southern Illinois with medical and cosmetic skincare services. Its mission is to provide high-quality dermatologic care close to home, combining a patient-first approach with a commitment to compassionate service, patient satisfaction, and ongoing improvements in care delivery. The practice is founded by Dr. Ted G. VanAcker, an American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology board-certified physician with decades of experience.

The medical dermatology team evaluates and treats skin, hair, and nail conditions for patients of all ages. Services include skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, prevention, dermatologic surgery, and superficial radiation therapy. The practice also guides patients through individualized care plans and treatment options. For cosmetic and aesthetic needs, offerings include injectables, laser treatments, facials, chemical peels, photodynamic therapy, CoolSculpting, microneedling, and sclerotherapy. Southern Illinois Dermatology also provides patient resources and offers Obagi products through its online shop. With in-office outpatient procedures and a focus on clear communication, the practice aims to help patients understand their options and feel supported throughout their care.
