Southern Oregon Outfitters

Southern Oregon Outfitters is a licensed guide service based in Glide, Oregon, offering hunting and fishing trips in the region. Led by guide Tim Pickett, the business operates under a Special Use Permit with the USDA Forest Service and has served clients since at least 2004. Its hunts include trophy black bear, bobcat, blacktail deer, Columbian whitetail deer, Roosevelt elk, and spring turkey. The outfitters also offer salmon and steelhead fishing trips.

Bobcat hunts use Treeing Walker hounds, while black bear hunts are conducted by spot-and-stalk; the company notes that hunting bears with hounds has been outlawed in Oregon since 1994. Deer hunters can pursue blacktails or seek a limited Columbian whitetail tag in a small area of Southern Oregon. The outfitter describes Columbian whitetails as a distinctive Oregon subspecies and offers rifle and archery options when tags are available. Southern Oregon Outfitters provides booking information, price lists, client photos, and hunting tips, and accepts deposits for upcoming seasons.
