Southern Outdoor Outfitters

Southern Outdoor Outfitters is a family-owned hunting outfitter based in Southwest Florida, offering guided hunts on private land. With more than 20 years of experience, guide Paul Byrd and the team tailor outings to clients’ interests and use year-round scouting to prepare for each season. The outfitter says its hunts take place on 100,000 acres of land it owns or leases, helping reduce hunting pressure and support game management.

Its offerings include Osceola turkey, alligator, duck, dove, and wild hog hunts. Hog hunting options include thermal hunting and hunts with dogs and knives, with trophy and meat hogs available. The company also highlights private-land alligator hunts, including opportunities to use different weapons, and guided turkey hunts for hunters pursuing an Osceola.

For duck hunters, it offers outings on private ponds during Florida’s season. Southern Outdoor Outfitters emphasizes integrity and says it may cancel and reschedule a hunt if scouting indicates too few target animals are present
