Southern Range Brewing Co. is an independent craft brewery and taproom in historic downtown Monroe, North Carolina. Established in May 2016 as Monroe’s first brewery, it remains deliberately small, operating a 30-barrel brewhouse with creative control over its recipes and releases.
The brewery makes award-winning hazy IPAs, traditional beers, hard sodas, seltzers and shandies, available on tap and in cans, with shipping offered to customers’ doors. Its year-round lineup includes Carolina Pilsner, Blood Orange Wheat, Tiny Ass Umbrella hazy IPA, Ice Cube’s A Pimp hazy IPA, Purple Stuff grape hard soda and Margarita Seltzer. Seasonal and limited releases include fruit shandies, Oktoberfest, a holiday blonde ale and coffee blonde ale.
The taproom also serves domestic beers, wine, additional seltzers and frozen alcoholic slushies. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed, pet-friendly space with an outdoor patio and stage, darts and games, live music and weekend food trucks. Located at 151 S Stewart Street, Southern Range welcomes guests Wednesday through Sunday and provides a lively gathering place for locals and visitors alike
