Southern Singletrack

The Southern Singletrack Trail Series (SSTS) organizes trail-running events that celebrate and grow the local running community across west-central Georgia and nearby parts of east Alabama. Its four-race series introduces runners to the region’s parks and singletrack trails, with routes featuring rolling terrain and forest scenery. Participants can choose a Short Distance or Long Distance series, or take part in individual events. Registering for the full series secures a place in all four races, offers a price break, and includes exclusive series swag. Runners are scored throughout the year, with overall winners receiving awards at the season’s end.

One featured event is the Chewacla Cha Cha, scheduled for September 13, 2026, at Chewacla State Park in Auburn, Alabama. The race offers 5K and 10K options on wooded trails with gentle elevation changes, welcoming both newer and experienced trail runners. Proceeds from this event benefit Valley Rescue Mission. SSTS also provides event information and invites visitors to sign up for news and updates.
