About Southern Skies
Southern Skies Publishing is a revered brand that specializes in publishing the books of Stephen W. Meader. These books played a pivotal role in the early literary passion of Jerry Atchley, the father of the company's founder.
Recognizing the rarity and cult following of Meader's work, Southern Skies Publishing embarked on a mission to acquire the rights to all forty-four published Meader books, as well as the two unpublished manuscripts left at his death in 1977. The journey began with the publication of T-Model Tommy, meticulously photographed to preserve its authenticity. The response was overwhelming, with letters and emails pouring in, requesting more beloved titles.
Leveraging technology, the brand expanded its collection and now boasts a library of all forty-four original titles that Meader published in his lifetime. Since Jerry Atchley's passing in 2010, Jennifer Atchley Jones continues the legacy, ensuring that these inspiring and adventurous tales find their way into the hands of a new generation of readers.
