Facing South offers a wide range of programs and services to address key issues in the region.
Through their online magazine, Facing South, they provide groundbreaking investigations into abuses of power, in-depth analysis of Southern trends, and the voices of those working towards a better South. The organization also runs programs such as the Southern Strategies Program, which delivers keynote addresses, workshops, and research on the South's changing demographic and political landscape.
Additionally, their Democracy Program focuses on protecting voting rights and combating political barriers to democracy in the South. They also offer the Julian Bond Fellowship Program, which trains and mentors early-career social change journalists and researchers. Facing South is committed to being a catalyst for lasting change in the South.
