Southern Summers Charters

Southern Summers Charters, LLC is a fishing charter business serving Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, and the surrounding Lowcountry waters of South Carolina. Led by Captain Rodney Summers, the company offers guided trips for anglers of different ages and experience levels, combining local inshore fishing knowledge with a welcoming, instructional approach. Captain Summers has more than ten years of experience in the area’s waters and a background in teaching and coaching.

Charters include inshore fishing and seasonal shark-fishing trips. Inshore anglers may target redfish, black drum, flounder, trout, sheepshead, cobia, tarpon, and other species, fishing among oyster beds, bays, grass lines, and creeks. Shark trips offer opportunities to pursue species such as blacktip, hammerhead, bonnethead, spinner, and sharpnose sharks. Trip lengths range from two to five hours, with listed prices from $395 to $695; scheduling depends on tides, weather, season, and target fish.

Trips operate aboard a 2021 Sportsman Masters 227 Platinum bay boat and accommodate one to four passengers.
