Southland BMX Club is a volunteer-run sports club in Southland, New Zealand, focused on BMX racing. Described as the world’s southernmost BMX club, it provides a welcoming, family-oriented environment where riders of different ages and abilities can develop their skills and work towards personal goals. The club operates a new, world-class racing track and offers training sessions for beginners, intermediate riders, and those with more experience. During the BMX season, members can take part in club race nights every Friday, putting their riding skills to the test in a supportive setting.
Southland BMX also organises events around Southland and attends BMX events throughout New Zealand, giving members opportunities to participate beyond regular club activities. New members are welcome, and the club has gear available to hire to help newcomers get started. Friendly, committed volunteers are available to answer questions and support the club community. Members and supporters can follow updates through the free Sporty NZ app, which is available from the App Store and Google Play.
