Southsea Tennis Club

Southsea Tennis Club is a welcoming, community-focused tennis club on Southsea Common in Portsmouth, where people have played tennis for around a century. Run by and for people who enjoy the game, the club brings together players of all ages and abilities, from beginners to experienced competitors. Its facilities include four floodlit astro courts and six hard courts, three of which are floodlit. Courts are available year-round, with floodlit play until 10 pm; courts 4–6 are available during daylight hours.

Players can join as members or book pay-and-play sessions online, with court hire priced at £7–£8 per hour. Membership starts from £15 per month and includes year-round court access, organised mix-in sessions and social play. The club also offers coaching for all ages and abilities through Josh Barrett Tennis Coaching, alongside competitive tennis and regular social opportunities. An on-site café provides a place to relax after playing. As an LTA Registered Venue, Southsea Tennis Club is committed to safeguarding and creating a safe, inclusive environment for its community.
