About SouthSouthNorth
SouthSouthNorth (SSN) is a brand that was established in 1999 by a group of visionary individuals who met during a United Nations gathering. Their goal was to create a set of criteria and indicators to evaluate the sustainable development attributes of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects. The CDM, a component of the Kyoto Protocol, aimed to facilitate partnerships between developed and developing nations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
At that time, the rules and guidelines for the CDM were unclear, and there was a need for a practical tool to measure the sustainable development impact of potential projects. SSN responded to this need by presenting a theoretical tool that received support from various stakeholders, including potential donors. Since its inception, SSN has been at the forefront of providing solutions and resources for sustainable development.
They offer programmes, resources, videos, and a dedicated team to support their mission. Their expertise in evaluating CDM projects ensures that they provide accurate and reliable information. With a commitment to making a positive impact on climate change, SSN continues to be a trusted brand in the field of sustainable development
