SPA du Dauphiné

The SPA du Dauphiné, established in 1938, is dedicated to the rescue and care of abandoned and mistreated animals in the Uriage Grenoble area. Every year, the organization takes in approximately 550 animals, primarily dogs and cats, along with rabbits, ferrets, and guinea pigs. Their mission involves accepting animals surrendered by pet owners who can no longer care for them, providing support for those hospitalized or living in pet-restricted accommodations.

In addition to rehoming, the SPA du Dauphiné plays a crucial role in addressing cases of animal cruelty. Their team of investigators responds to reports of neglect or mistreatment, ensuring that animals in distress receive the necessary assistance. Public visits to their shelter are welcomed, where potential adopters can meet animals waiting for a forever home. The refuge operates specific hours throughout the week, fostering a community dedicated to animal welfare and protection, and encouraging public contributions through donations and volunteer opportunities.
