About U.S. Space & Rocket Center
Space Camp, operated by the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, is an educational program that introduces participants to space exploration through astronaut-inspired training. Launched in 1982, it has welcomed more than one million alumni from all 50 states, U.S. territories and 150 countries. Its programs use hands-on activities to connect science, technology, engineering and mathematics with teamwork, communication and leadership.
Offerings include Space Camp for ages 9–11, Space Academy for ages 12–14 and Advanced Space Academy for teens aged 15–18. Participants take part in simulated missions, engineering challenges and astronaut training exercises. The organization also offers aviation and robotics camps, adult programs, family experiences, educator academies and group options such as Pathfinder. Some programs are designed for specific audiences, including Alabama students and teachers. Programs vary in length, age range and price, with options from weekend experiences to week-long adventures. Registration, group availability information and camper resources are available through the Space Camp website. The U.S.
