SPACES Archives, based in Kohler, Wisconsin, is a brand dedicated to the study, documentation, and preservation of art environments and self-taught artistic activities. As a preservation project of the Kohler Foundation, SPACES aims to identify, document, and advocate for the preservation of large-scale art environments. With an extensive archive of approximately 35,000 photographs, books, articles, audio and video materials, and artists' documents, SPACES serves as an international resource for researchers, museums, universities, and grassroots organizations.

The brand offers resources and materials to help local communities with their efforts in documenting and preserving art environments. SPACES staff have contributed to national and international conferences, curated exhibitions, and provided documentation for various dissemination projects. With databases containing information on over 1,400 sites, bibliographic entries, exhibitions and events, and a comprehensive archival collection, SPACES Archives is recognized as the largest and most complete archive in its field.
