SpareBank 1-stiftelsen Gran is a community-focused foundation that has supported local development in Gran since 2010. Its purpose is to foster creativity, optimism, growth and sustainable progress, with priority given to local clubs and associations working for the benefit of residents. The foundation provides grants for initiatives and projects that strengthen the community, and invites applicants to submit project grant applications throughout the year.
Applications for broad community grants are accepted during a specified period at the start of the year. It also offers talent scholarships to young people pursuing goals in sports, culture and other areas. Examples of its support include youth learning and development programmes, community activities, local facilities and projects that bring people together.
The foundation reports having made 1,892 gifts, supported 590 projects and reached 286 recipients, with a total of NOK 310 million in contributions. Through its grants, stories and guidance for applicants, SpareBank 1-stiftelsen Gran helps local people and organisations turn ideas into positive outcomes for the wider community
