Pennsylvania Integrated Library System (PaILS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing an integrated library system (ILS) for libraries and library systems in Pennsylvania. PaILS aims to offer results-focused customer support and build personal relationships with its clients, who collectively form the "SPARK" consortium. Their mission is to provide access to information resources through a collaborative, high-quality, and cost-effective open-source integrated library system that promotes resource sharing among libraries statewide.
PaILS offers Pennsylvanians a sustainable network of integrated library services and access to a community of libraries and information resources across the Commonwealth. SPARK is the name for the Evergreen ILS managed by PaILS, which handles online public catalog and library operations for its members. Evergreen is a renowned open-source ILS used by over 1,300 libraries globally and continues to be managed and developed by its users.
PaILS also offers competitive pricing, including zero migration fees, thanks to a Library Services & Technology (LSTA) grant. Founded in 2011 with the support of the Pennsylvania Office of Commonwealth Libraries, PaILS strives to enhance library services throughout the state
